Punjab Vocational Training Council (PVTC)

PVTC is a leading organization that provides professional vocational training to all the needy youth wherever they are in Punjab. It aims to achieve this by exceeding students, expectations, and providing suitable opportunities for all the students to start earning a reasonable livelihood. It uses technology to scale up the current capacity with focus on generating employable and exportable manpower creating values for youth.

TEVTA is a Premier Skill provider with its strong presence at every Tehsil and district of the province in 150+ disciplines to transform the Skill Landscape of Punjab through demand drive skills of the highest possible quality.

It focuses more on quality skill education rather than quantity and devised to implement integrated marketing admission campaign to provide career guidance to students. TEVTA maintain skill & competency standards as per international criterion years DAE, 2 Year Diploma, 1 Year & 6 Month Certification courses.

Punjab Skills Development Authority, Government of the Punjab

The Punjab Skills Development Authority (PSDA) was established as an apex regulatory body of Skills Sector of the province through an Act of legislature passed on 27 February 2019 and was notified on 30 September 2019. PSDA amongst others the objective of PSDA is to act as regulator inter alia implement national policies and standards relating Technical Education & Vocational Training. PSDA is committed towards streamlining the TVET sector across Punjab and has established first of its kind automated registration portal for registering public & private TVET institutes in length & breadth of the province. PSDA believes on facilitation, transparency and quick disposal of work. Needless to say, the ultimate goal is quality training of our young population for economic empowerment and providing quality workforce for the industry.

Project Implementation Unit - IWRPP

The Project Implementation Unit (Improving Workforce Readiness in Punjab Project) will be responsible for day-to-day implementation of the project including:

  • Preparation of master plan, detailed annual project and program implementation plans, annual disbursement and procurement plans, annual financial and accounting plans and schedules
  • Procurement of goods, works, non-consulting and consulting services for all project components
  • Establishment and management of the advance finance account
  • Preparation and submission of withdrawal applications and replenishment of the advance finance account
  • Responsible and accountable for the use of funds in the Advance Account and implement SOE procedure in accordance to applicable terms
  • Coordination and liaison with ADB, other relevant government agencies and implementation partners and stakeholders
  • Establishment and implementation of the project monitoring systems and monitoring, evaluation and reporting on program implementation progress
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports, mid-term report and program completion report
  • Preparation of annual forecast of contract awards and disbursements
  • Organization and management of training programs, including workshops
  • Implement the project in conformity with relevant ADB and government procedures and regulations, and good governance

Industries, Commerce & Investment Department

Industries, Commerce & Investment Department is the executing agency for the project and responsible for overall management and coordination of the project including:

  • Designating the PIU Project Director, Drawing and Disbursement Officer and Finance/Accountant
  • Setting up the PIU
  • Oversight supervision and monitoring of all project activities
  • Coordination and liaison with ADB and other stakeholders
  • Mobilize the PIU staff to support project implementation
  • Provide guidance to PIU as required
