Milestone for PIU-IWRPP with the successful commencement of classes at the Institute of Surgical Technology, Sialkot and the Centre for Agricultural Machinery Industry, Mian Channu. Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, Secretary of the Industries, Commerce, Investment & Skills Development Department, honoured the event as the Chief Guest. During the inauguration, PIU Project Director Mr. Zohaib Mushtaq briefed the Secretary on CBTA upgraded courses and highlighted the enthusiastic participation of female students, particularly those already engaged in the export business, who have joined the surgical instrument manufacturing course to enhance their product knowledge. The ADB-funded project brings state-of-the-art training equipment, machinery, and facilities for students under Centre of Excellence. Launching Pakistan’s first-ever Surgical Technology course at IST Sialkot, empowering youth with advanced training that also offers a fully equipped daycare centre and Competency-Based Training & Assessment (CBTA) courses.
